Earthquakes have always been a threat, especially for those living in seismically active regions like Turkey. The way to minimize this threat is for structures to be earthquake-resistant. Strong foundations, accurate engineering calculations, and the use of quality materials are of vital importance.
 

What is an Earthquake-Resistant Structure?

An earthquake-resistant structure is a building that does not collapse during a possible tremor, ensures the safety of its occupants, and remains standing with minimal structural damage. Such structures are planned and constructed according to engineering principles at every stage from foundation to roof.
 

What Should Be Considered?

  • Ground Survey: Proper soil analyses conducted before construction determine the type of load-bearing system.

  • Static Project Calculations: The building's height, load-bearing columns, and concrete and steel ratios must be calculated meticulously.
